CHAIR CHERYLL HEINZE called the House Special Committee on
Economic Development, International Trade and Tourism meeting to
order at 10:27 a.m. Representatives Heinze, McGuire, Cissna,
and Crawford were present at the call to order.
HCR 28-STUDIES OF SALMON HARVESTING COOPERATIVES
Number 0044
CHAIR HEINZE announced that the committee would reconsider HOUSE
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 28, Relating to the socioeconomic
impacts of salmon harvesting cooperatives.
CHAIR HEINZE explained that two fiscal notes had been received
since the last hearing: a zero fiscal note from the Legislative
Affairs Agency reflecting the cost of distributing the
resolution, and a fiscal note [for $100,000] from the University
of Alaska for the cost of the study.

REPRESENTATIVE McGUIRE moved to rescind the committee's action
[moving HCR 28 out of committee on 2/12/04].
CHAIR HEINZE asked whether there was any objection. [No
objection was stated, and the action was treated as rescinded.]

REPRESENTATIVE McGUIRE moved to report HCR 28 out of committee
with individual recommendations and the accompanying new fiscal
notes. There being no objection, HCR 28 was reported from the
House Special Committee on Economic Development, International
Trade and Tourism.
