SB 363-CAMPAIGN FINANCE PROVISIONS
CHAIRMAN GENE THERRIAULT called the Conference Committee on SB 363
meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. Present were Representatives Coghill,
Moses and Rokeberg and Senators Cowdery and Therriault. Chairman
Therriault announced that Senator Olson was attending a caucus. He
then asked Mr. Burnett to address the section that was rejected.
MR. JERRY BURNETT, aide to Senator Lyda Green, said the House
amended language on page 4, line 29, to include telemarketing. The
concern was that it would provide a barrier to a higher turn out
rate at the voting polls.
CHAIRMAN THERRIAULT stated the removal of telemarketing on page 4,
line 29, is the only change in the conference committee version of
SB 363.
SENATOR COWDERY moved CCS SB 363 from committee and asked for
unanimous consent.
CHAIRMAN THERRIAULT announced that without objection, the motion
carried.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
CHAIRMAN THERRIAULT adjourned the meeting at 8:07 p.m.
