Number 065
CHAIRMAN HUDSON brought up SB 64.
SB 64 - IMMUNITY FOR SAFETY INSPECTIONS
Number 075
REP. GREEN asked for an update on SB 64 and HB 241.
Number 090
REP. MULDER explained to the committee that he had been
encouraging all sides to this issue to come to some
compromise to no avail. Rep. Mulder felt that passage of SB
64 would only advance one side of the issue and further
endanger any hopes of successful negotiations of the ad hoc
task force on worker's compensation reform.
REP. MULDER contended that if SB 64 were to pass, labor
would never participate again and that would not be good
public policy.
Number 117
CHAIRMAN HUDSON called for a roll call vote on passage of
SB 64:
Rep. Williams nay
Rep. Green nay
Rep. Sitton nay
Rep. Mulder nay
Rep. Hudson nay
Rep. Porter absent
REp. Mackie absent
CHAIRMAN HUDSON announced the failure of SB 64 to pass the
committee.
CHAIRMAN HUDSON adjourned the meeting at 3:15 p.m.
