President Micciche removed the Senate Special Committee on World                                                                
Trade referral from SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 17                                                                              
Requesting the United States Trade Representative to bring a renewed                                                            
focus on the plight of producers of seafood in the state and the United                                                         
States and to compel China to comply with its commitment to increase                                                            
its imports of seafood products from the United States.                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
President Micciche added a Resources Committee referral to the                                                                  
resolution.                                                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
The resolution was referred to the Resources Committee.                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
Senator Costello moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused                                                                
from a call of the Senate from evening plane time, May 16 through                                                               
afternoon plane time, May 17. Without objection, Senator Costello
