Governor's transmittal letter dated Oct 1: Dear President Micciche: Under the authority of Article III, Section 18 of the Alaska Constitution, I am transmitting a bill making appropriations for a supplemental 2021 Permanent Fund Dividend for eligible Alaskans. This bill includes a $795.6 million appropriation from the Permanent Fund Earnings Reserve Account to complete the payment of the 2021 Permanent Fund Dividend. This would make the dividend payment equal to 50 percent of the FY22 percent of market value draw from the Permanent Fund; providing a total dividend payment of approximately $2,350 per eligible Alaskan. The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation closed its fiscal year on June 30 at an all-time high of $81.1 billion following a 29.7 percent annual return; a record strong performance.
