(a)" Page 77, following line 8: Insert a new subsection to read: "(b) It is the intent of the legislature that an appropriation for the purpose of paying salary and benefits for a state position may not be expended for any other purpose if the position has been continuously vacant for longer than 18 months." Representative Eastman moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 44 be adopted. Representative Fields objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 44 be adopted?"
