Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Eastman: Page 3, following line 4: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 4. AS 24.60.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (k) If a legislator requests to be excused from voting on a question before a house of the legislature under (g) of this section and is required by that house to vote on the question because a member of that house objects, the objection and the name of the member making the objection shall be recorded in the journal of that house." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Representative Eastman moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Claman objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?"
