The Speaker stated that amendments to CSSSHB 39(FIN) am must be submitted to the Chief Clerk's office by 10:00 a.m., April 10. Amendment No. 25 was offered by Representative Pruitt: Page 16, following line 7: Insert new material to read: "It is the intent of the legislature that the Department of Health and Social Services shall prepare a report on whether the department may obtain future savings by consolidating public health laboratories throughout the state and shall submit the report to the co-chairs of the Finance Committees by January 15, 2020." Representative Pruitt moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 25 be adopted. Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 25 was adopted.
