Amendment No. 12 was offered by Representative Eastman: Page 52, following line 6: Insert a new subsection to read: "(c) It is the intent of the legislature that the state begin moving toward parity between the salary of legislators and the average salary of K-12 teachers in this state." Representative Eastman moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 12 be adopted. Representative Foster objected. Representative Eastman moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw Amendment No. 12. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 13 was offered by Representative Eastman: Page 10, following line 20: Insert new material to read: "It is the intent of the legislature that funding appropriated in support of Head Start and Early Head Start programs not be used for sex education." Representative Eastman moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 13 be adopted. Representative Ortiz objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 13 be adopted?"
