Pursuant to the June 16 Proclamation of the Governor calling for the                                                            
convening of the Second Special Session of the Thirtieth Alaska                                                                 
Legislature below, the Senate was called to order by President Kelly at                                                         
1:27 p.m.                                                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                
The roll showed twenty members present.                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Sarah Bertram, Senate Page.                                                             
Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer                                                               
be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered.                                                                                
                                                                                                                                
          Lord,                                                                                                                 
          Please teach us each what it means to dwell in Your                                                                   
          peace, that we may show Your goodness to all                                                                          
          around us. You are faithful in every situation giving                                                                 
          us wisdom and strength to go forward in your grace.

session at the legislative chambers in Juneau, Alaska, at 1:00 p.m., on                                                         
June 16, 2017, to consider passage of the following bill:
