Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Eastman: Page 1, line 1 (title amendment): Delete "and" Page 1, line 2, following "Day": Insert "; and establishing October 15 of each year as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day" Page 2, following line 6: Insert new material to read: "Sec. 44.12.175. Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is established on October 15 of each year to commemorate the lives tragically lost through pregnancy loss and newborn and infant death, including miscarriage, preborn victims of violence, stillbirth, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The governor shall issue a proclamation to commemorate Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The day may be observed by suitable observances and exercises by civic groups and the public."
