IN THE HOUSE The Speaker called the House back to order at 11:39 a.m. CONSIDERATION OF THE DAILY CALENDAR THIRD READING OF HOUSE BILLS HB 287 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the February 5 calendar (page 2331), was read the third time: HOUSE BILL NO. 287 "An Act making appropriations for public education and transportation of students; making appropriations under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of the State of Alaska, from the constitutional budget reserve fund; and providing for an effective date." Representative Johnston moved and asked unanimous consent that HB 287 be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The Speaker stated that, without objection, HB 287 would be returned to second reading for all amendments. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Johnston, Johnson, Birch, Millett, Chenault, Tilton, Saddler, Thompson, Talerico, Reinbold, Eastman, Wilson, Kopp, Knopp, Sullivan-Leonard, and Rauscher: Page 1, lines 2 - 3 (title amendment): Delete "making appropriations under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of the State of Alaska, from the constitutional budget reserve fund;" Page 5, line 1: Delete "PUBLIC EDUCATION; CONSTITUTIONAL BUDGET
