Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Eastman, Millett, Knopp, Rauscher, Chenault, Talerico, Saddler, Birch, Johnston, Sullivan-Leonard, Pruitt, Johnson, Thompson, Reinbold, Wilson, Tilton, Kopp, and Neuman: Page 1, line 4, following "Arts;" (title amendment): Insert "relating to the art requirements for certain public buildings and facilities and to the funding for works of art;" Page 9, lines 6 - 7: Delete "[TO] manage the art in public places fund; (6) [TO]" Insert "[TO MANAGE THE ART IN PUBLIC PLACES FUND; (6) TO]" Page 9, line 24: Delete "AS 44.27.040 - 44.27.060" Insert "AS 44.27.040 - 44.27.058 [AS 44.27.040 - 44.27.060]" Page 9, line 26: Delete "AS 44.27.040 - 44.27.060" Insert "AS 44.27.040 - 44.27.058 [AS 44.27.040 - 44.27.060]" Page 10, line 26, through page 11, line 10: Delete all material. Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Page 11, following line 15: Insert new bill sections to read: "* Sec. 15. AS 44.35.030 is amended to read: Sec. 44.35.030. Construction of memorials to Alaska veterans. The Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs may construct memorials to Alaska veterans. A memorial constructed under this section is not subject to AS 35.15 [OR AS 35.27].
