The roll was taken with the following result: CSHB 57(FIN) am Second Reading Amendment No. 2 to Amendment No. 52 YEAS: 14 NAYS: 24 EXCUSED: 2 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Birch, Chenault, Eastman, Johnson, Johnston, Kito, Kopp, Pruitt, Rauscher, Saddler, Talerico, Thompson, Tilton, Wilson Nays: Drummond, Edgmon, Fansler, Foster, Gara, Grenn, Guttenberg, Josephson, Kawasaki, Knopp, Kreiss-Tomkins, LeDoux, Millett, Ortiz, Parish, Reinbold, Seaton, Spohnholz, Stutes, Sullivan-Leonard, Tarr, Tuck, Westlake, Wool Excused: Claman, Neuman And so, Amendment No. 2 to Amendment No. 52 was not adopted. Amendment No. 3 to Amendment No. 52 was offered by Representative Saddler: Following "accordingly": Insert "It is the intent of the legislature that Legislative Council develop a plan to move the convening place of the Alaska State Legislature from Juneau to a location on the state road system, and that a legislator may not receive per diem when a legislative session or special session is being held within 50 miles of a legislator's home." Representative Saddler moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 3 to Amendment No. 52 be adopted. Representative LeDoux objected and rose to a point of order. The Speaker ruled Amendment No. 3 to Amendment No. 52 out of order.
