The Resources Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 172 "An                                                                      
Act relating to management of enhanced stocks of fish; authorizing the                                                          
operation of nonprofit shellfish hatcheries; relating to application fees                                                       
for salmon and shellfish hatchery permits; and providing for an                                                                 
effective date" and recommended it be replaced with                                                                             
                                                                                                                                
          CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 172(RES) "An Act                                                                               
          relating to management of enhanced stocks of                                                                          
          shellfish; authorizing certain nonprofit organizations

          to engage in shellfish stock rehabilitation efforts,                                                                  
          carry out shellfish enhancement projects, and operate                                                                 
          shellfish hatcheries; relating to application fees for                                                                
          salmon hatchery permits; and providing for an
