Senators Davis, McGuire, Stedman were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Bill Nelson of the United Pentecostal Church of Juneau. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Lord, Our God; I thank you Lord for making the way for me to be here this week to offer these invocations. Praying here has given me a deeper sense of caring. Caring about this state and the people who live here and all the important issues that face us all. Caring about these men and women here today who come from around this great land to steer and guide the direction of it all. Lord, I ask for your blessing for the state of Alaska and all the people who live here. That peace and prosperity and the continuation of the great leadership we have would continue. I also ask a blessing for our legislators who never stop caring about the important issues that we face.
