The State Affairs Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 26 "An                                                                   
Act exempting vehicles fueled solely by electricity or compressed                                                               
natural gas from motor vehicle registration fees and taxes; and                                                                 
providing for an effective date" and recommended it be replaced with                                                            
                                                                                                                                
                    CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 26(STA) "An Act                                                                     
            setting special registration fees for alternative fuel                                                             
          vehicles; and providing for an effective date."
