Full Journal pdf2008-04-11 Senate Journal Page 2874 HJR 31 The reconsideration on CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 31(RES) Opposing the enactment of the Protect America's Wildlife Act of 2007 that intends to prohibit aerial hunting of wildlife, which is essential for predator control in Alaska, was not taken up this legislative day and the resolution was signed by the President and Secretary and returned to the House. Announcements HJR 2 Senator Stedman, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent that the twenty-four hour notice and publication requirements be waived on CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 2(FIN) Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Alaska requiring an affirmative vote of the people before any form of gambling for profit may be authorized in Alaska and setting other requirements, for the Finance Committee meeting at 9:00 a.m., April 12. Without objection, it was so ordered. Announcements are at the end of the journal. Rule 23(d) of the Alaska State Legislature Uniform Rules is currently in effect. Engrossment SB 212 SENATE BILL NO. 212 "An Act relating to eligibility requirements for medical assistance for certain children and pregnant women; and providing for an effective date" was engrossed, signed by the President and Secretary and transmitted to the House for consideration. SB 306 SENATE BILL NO. 306 "An Act relating to the adoption of conservation, development, and utilization regulations by the Board of Game to address concerns relating to public assets" was engrossed, signed by the President and Secretary and transmitted to the House for consideration.
