Senator Bunde was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Richard Green of the Glacier Valley Church of God. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Second Reading of Senate Resolutions SJR 14 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 14 Urging the United States Congress to amend the tax code to permanently repeal the federal estate and generation-skipping transfer tax, was read the second time. Senator French offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 1, following line 6: Insert new material to read: "WHEREAS, in its current form, the estate tax only affects the wealthiest two percent of all Americans; and" Senator French moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1.
