Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that HCS SB 137(L&C) be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading, and placed on final passage. There was objection. HCS SB 137(L&C) will advance to third reading on tomorrow's calendar. SECOND READING OF HOUSE RESOLUTIONS HCR 14 The Speaker stated that, without objection, the following would be held to tomorrow's calendar: HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 14 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, concerning Senate Bill No. 137, providing that an institution providing accommodations exempt from the provisions of the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act may evict tenants without resorting to court proceedings under AS 09.45.060 - 09.45.160. RECONSIDERATION SB 158 Representative Coghill brought up reconsideration of the vote on SB 158(efd fld H) (page 1724). The following, which had been held on reconsideration (page 1818), was again before the House in third reading: SENATE BILL NO. 158 "An Act prohibiting the imposition of municipal sales and use taxes on state construction contracts and certain subcontracts; and providing for an effective date."
