Full Journal pdf2006-04-28 House Journal Page 3403 HB 496 The Finance Committee has considered: HOUSE BILL NO. 496 "An Act relating to contributions from permanent fund dividends to certain educational organizations and to certain charitable organizations that provide a positive youth development program, workforce development, aid to the arts, or aid and services to the elderly, low-income individuals, individuals in emergency situations, disabled individuals, or individuals with mental illness; and providing for an effective date." and recommends it be replaced with: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 496(FIN) "An Act relating to contributions from permanent fund dividends to campuses of the University of Alaska, certain educational organizations, community foundations, and certain other charitable organizations that provide a youth development program, workforce development, aid to the arts, or aid and services to the elderly, low-income individuals, individuals in 2006-04-28 House Journal Page 3404 emergency situations, disabled individuals, or individuals with mental illness; and providing for an effective date." The report was signed by Representatives Meyer and Chenault, Co- chairs, with the following individual recommendations: Do pass (3): Foster, Joule, Kerttula No recommendation (5): Hawker, Weyhrauch, Holm, Meyer, Chenault A House Finance Committee letter of intent for CSHB 496(FIN), signed by Representatives Meyer and Chenault, Co-chairs, follows: "Through this letter, it is the desire of the House Finance Committee to clarify funding for the administrative costs of implementing the provisions of CSHB 496(FIN). In testimony given in the House Finance Committee on CSHB 496(FIN), it has been established on the record that there exists an understanding and an agreement between the Division of Permanent Fund Dividend, Department of Revenue, and the Rasmuson Foundation that administrative costs incurred for the implementation of the provisions of this legislation will be funded through a grant from the Rasmuson Foundation to the Department of Revenue. It is not the intent of the House Finance Committee that general fund money be allocated for the implementation of this program." The following fiscal note(s) apply to CSHB 496(FIN): 2.
