Full Journal pdf2006-03-22 House Journal Page 2839 The following, which had been held on reconsideration (page 2812), was again before the House in third reading: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 300(O&G) "An Act relating to the qualifications of the member of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission who need not be certified, trained, or experienced in either the field of petroleum engineering or the field of petroleum geology." Representative Kohring placed a call of the House. **The presence of Representative Weyhrauch was noted. Representative Kohring lifted the call. Representative Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 300(O&G) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Gardner: Page 1, line 3, following "geology" (title amendment): Insert ", and prohibiting commission members from holding office in a political party or acting as fundraisers for a political party" Page 2, following line 29: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 3. AS 31.05.009 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (b) A member of the commission may not hold office in a political party or act as a fundraiser for a political party." Representative Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Rokeberg objected.
