HJR 28 Senator Gary Stevens, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent that the State Affairs Committee referral be waived on HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 28 am Urging the United States Congress to support the granting of official Observer Status to the Republic of China at the World Health Assembly Annual Conference to be held at Geneva, Switzerland, in May 2003, and to support negotiation of a free trade agreement with the Republic of China. Without objection, the resolution was referred to the Rules Committee. HB 205 Senator Gary Stevens, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent that the State Affairs Committee referral be waived on HOUSE BILL NO. 205 "An Act relating to service in the peace corps as an allowable absence from the state for purposes of eligibility for permanent fund dividends and to the period for filing an application for a permanent fund dividend; authorizing the Department of Revenue to issue administrative orders imposing sanctions for certain misrepresentations or other actions concerning eligibility for a permanent fund dividend and providing for administrative appeal of those orders; and providing for an effective date."
