Consideration of the Calendar Reconsideration of Senate Bills SB 181 Senator Hoffman requested that the reconsideration on CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 181(FIN) "An Act relating to the use of money from the housing assistance loan fund, to loans for teacher housing in small communities, and to the interest rate on loans originated or purchased by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation for small community housing; and providing for an effective date" be taken up. The bill was before the Senate on reconsideration. Senator Hoffman moved that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 1. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator Hoffman offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 1, line 14, through page 2, line 2: Delete "the statewide average cost of a single-family house or owner occupied duplex, as determined by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development," Insert "$250,000" Senator Hoffman moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Donley objected.
