Senator Ward moved and asked unanimous consent that he be                      
allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest.              
Objections were heard and Senator Ward was required to vote.                   
                                                                               
The question being: Shall HOUSE BILL NO. 437 An Act relating                   
to the reinstatement of Native corporations; and providing for an              
effective date pass the Senate? The roll was taken with the

the adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page               
2839. Without objection, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION                        
NO. 34(FIN) Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the                  
State of Alaska relating to public corporations (technical title               
change), was adopted and read the second time.
