Full Journal pdf1998-04-08 Senate Journal Page 3202 SB 223 CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 223(FIN) An Act relating to the age requirement for purposes of senior housing programs and requiring the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation to establish the age requirement, which may not be less than 55 years of age, for occupants of certain senior housing; relating to the senior housing revolving fund; providing that the senior housing bond account consists of money appropriated to the account and interest earned on money appropriated to the account; providing that the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation may use money in the senior housing bond account only in accordance with an appropriation of the money; repealing the senior housing bond account on June 30, 1999; relating to bonds to fund senior housing loans; and repealing a provision relating to the interest rate on senior housing loans made by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation which had been held in second reading with Amendment No. 1 pending (page 3183) was before the Senate. Senator Duncan moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be withdrawn. Without objection, it was so ordered. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 223(FIN) was automatically in third reading. Senator Duncan moved that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 2. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senators Duncan, Kelly offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 1, lines 4 - 9: Delete all material. Insert "certain senior housing; relating to the senior housing revolving fund; repealing the senior housing bond account; relating to bonds to fund" 1998-04-08 Senate Journal Page 3203 SB 223 Page 1, line 10: Delete "and" Page 1, line 11, following "Corporation": Insert "; and providing for an effective date" Page 2, line 31, through page 3, line 13: Delete all material. Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Page 4, line 8: Delete "on June 30, 1999" Page 4, following line 8: Insert new bill sections to read: "* Sec. 9. All assets in the senior housing bond account (AS 18.56.790(d)) on the effective date of this section are transferred to the senior housing revolving fund (AS 18.56.710). * Sec. 10. Sections 8 and 9 of this Act take effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c)." Senator Duncan moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of Amendment No. 2.
