Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President            
Pearce at 11:56 a.m.                                                           
                                                                               
The roll showed nineteen members present.  Senator Ellis was                   
absent.                                                                        
                                                                               
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Leman.  Senator                
Leman read a prayer by Pastor Jon Paden of the Juneau Church of                
Christ.                                                                        
                                                                               
Senator Donley led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance.                     
                                                                               
                                                                               
                                CERTIFICATION                                
                                                                               
Senator Halford moved and asked unanimous consent that the                     
journals for the eighty-second, eighty-third and eighty-fourth                 
legislative days and Senate Journal Supplement No. 5 be approved               
as certified by the Secretary.  Without objection, it was so ordered.

Message of April 7 was read, stating the Governor read the                     
following resolution and transmitted the engrossed and enrolled
