Senator Donley offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 1, line 1: Delete "adoption of the" Page 1, line 4, through page 2, line 6: Delete all material and insert: "*Section 1. AS 18.60.580 is amended to read: Sec. 18.60.580. MINIMUM ELECTRICAL STANDARDS. The 1993[1990] published edition of the National Electrical Code (ANSI FPA) approved by the American National Standards Institute on August 14, 1992 [AUGUST 7, 1989], and the 1993 [1990] published edition of the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI C2-1990) approved by the American National Standards Institute on July 10, 1992 [JUNE 26, 1989], constitute the minimum electrical safety standards of the state. *Sec 2. AS 18.60.590(a) is amended to read: (a) The department may by regulation adopt amendments to the 1993 [1990] National Electrical Code as approved and issued by the American National Standards Institute." Renumber the following bill section accordingly. Senator Donley moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Taylor objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?"
