CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 66(FIN) am by the HOUSE FINANCE                          
COMMITTEE, entitled:                                                           
                                                                               
"An Act relating to an exemption from and deferral                            
of municipal property taxes for certain primary                                
residences, to property tax equivalency payments for                           
certain residents, to the determination of full and                            
true value of taxable property in a municipality; and                          
providing for an effective date"                                               
                                                                               
was read the first time.                                                       
                                                                               
Message of April 3 was read, stating the House requests CS FOR                 
HOUSE BILL NO. 66(FIN) am be returned.                                         
                                                                               
President Halford stated that CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 66(FIN)                    
am would be returned to the House.  Senator Pearce objected.                   
                                                                               
President Halford stated that CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 66(FIN)                    
am would remain on the Senate Secretary's Desk.

The Finance Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 57 "An Act                    
relating to employment contributions and to extending the pilot                
project for the state training and employment program; and providing

The Finance Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 142 "An                       
Act relating to the Alaska regional economic assistance program; and           
providing for an effective date" and recommended it be replaced                
with the Community and Regional Affairs Committee Substitute                   
offered on page 847.
