01 "An Act relating to the use of campaign funds for dependent care, protection, and                                       
02 supervision."                                                                                                           
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 15.13.112 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
05 (d)  A candidate who requires assistance with the care, protection, and                                                 
06 supervision of a dependent because of the demands of the candidate's campaign                                           
07 activities may use campaign contributions for the direct care, protection, and                                          
08       supervision of the dependent. In this subsection, "dependent" means                                               
09                 (1)  the candidate's minor child;                                                                       
10                 (2)  a person with a disability or medical condition for whom the                                       
11       candidate has direct caregiving responsibility.
