01 "An Act relating to education; and relating to a school district online checkbook."                                     
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 14.17.910(a) is amended to read:                                                                 
04 (a)  Each district shall maintain complete financial records of the receipt and                                         
05 disbursement of state aid, money acquired from local effort, and other money received                                   
06 or held by the district. The records must be in the form required by the department and                                 
07 are subject to audit by the department at a time and place designated by the                                            
08 department. Each district shall make the records available on an Internet website                                   
09 that is accessible to the public at no cost. The Internet website must provide                                      
10       separate financial information for each school in the district.
