01 "An Act establishing April 24 of each year as Vic Fischer and Jack Coghill Constitution                                 
02 of the State of Alaska Day; and providing for an effective date."                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
05 Sec. 44.12.137. Vic Fischer and Jack Coghill Constitution of the State of                                           
06 Alaska Day. Vic Fischer and Jack Coghill Constitution of the State of Alaska Day is                                   
07 established on April 24 of each year to honor Jack Coghill, Vic Fischer, and the other                                  
08 delegates to the Alaska Constitutional Convention and commemorate the creation of                                       
09 the Constitution of the State of Alaska. Vic Fischer and Jack Coghill Constitution of                                   
10       the State of Alaska Day may be observed at school assemblies and by suitable                                      
11       observances and exercises by civic groups and the public.                                                         
12    * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect July 1, 2021.
