00                 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 401 am                                                                 
01 Authorizing the House of Representatives and the Senate to recess for a period of more                                  
02 than three days; requiring the House of Representatives and the Senate to convene on at                                 
03 least one additional calendar day on or before October 12, 2021, during the Fourth                                      
04 Special Session; and authorizing the presiding officers to convene their respective bodies                              
05 as needed during the Fourth Special Session of the Thirty-Second Alaska State                                           
06 Legislature.                                                                                                            
07 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
08 WHEREAS art. II, sec. 10, Constitution of the State of Alaska, provides that neither                                  
09 house of the legislature may adjourn or recess for longer than three days unless the other                              
10 house concurs; and                                                                                                      
11       WHEREAS Rule 52, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, provides that                                   
12 adoption of a concurrent resolution by a majority vote of the full membership of each house                             
13 constitutes concurrence;                                                                                                
14       BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the Senate and the House of                                 

01 Representatives may each recess for more than three days during the Fourth Special Session                              
02 of the Thirty-Second Alaska State Legislature; and be it                                                                
03 FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that, in addition to October                                         
04 4, 2021, the Senate and the House of Representatives shall each convene on at least one                                 
05 additional calendar day on or before October 12, 2021, during the Fourth Special Session of                             
06 the Thirty-Second Alaska State Legislature; and be it                                                                   
07       FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the presiding officers                                    
08 may otherwise convene their respective bodies as needed during the Fourth Special Session of                            
09 the Thirty-Second Alaska State Legislature.
