01 "An Act relating to employment by a legislator or legislative body of a person who has                                  
02 been formerly employed by the Legislative Affairs Agency as an attorney."                                               
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 24.60.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
05 (k)  A legislator, caucus, or legislative body may not employ a person who was                                          
06 formerly employed as a nonpartisan attorney by the Legislative Affairs Agency for a                                     
07 period of one year after the person leaves employment with the Legislative Affairs                                      
08 Agency. In this subsection, "caucus" and "legislative body" have the meanings given                                     
09       in AS 24.60.037.
