01 "An Act relating to filing a recall petition."                                                                          
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 15.45.610 is amended to read:                                                                      
04 Sec. 15.45.610. Filing of petition. A petition must be filed within 365 days                                      
05 after the date the director certified the petition and may not be filed within less                                 
06 than 180 days of the termination of the term of office of a state public official subject                               
07 to recall. The sponsor may file the petition only if signed by qualified voters equal in                                
08 number to 25 percent of those who voted in the preceding general election in the state                                  
09       or in the senate or house district of the official sought to be recalled.
