00 CS FOR SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 14(RLS) 01 Authorizing the House of Representatives and the Senate to recess for a period of more 02 than three days. 03 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 WHEREAS the World Health Organization has declared the novel coronavirus 05 disease (COVID-19) outbreak a pandemic; and 06 WHEREAS, on March 11, 2020, the Governor declared a statewide public health 07 disaster emergency to support the response to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) 08 outbreak; and 09 WHEREAS art. II, sec. 10, Constitution of the State of Alaska, provides that neither 10 house of the legislature may adjourn or recess for longer than three days unless the other 11 house concurs; and 12 WHEREAS Rule 52, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, provides that 13 adoption of a concurrent resolution by a majority vote of the full membership of each house 14 constitutes concurrence; 15 BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that, after transmitting a bill to 16 the governor that funds the operations of state government for fiscal year 2021, the Senate and

01 the House of Representatives may each recess for more than three days during the Second 02 Regular Session of the Thirty-First Alaska State Legislature.
