01 "An Act establishing the month of September as Hispanic Heritage Month."                                                
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04 Sec. 44.12.153. Hispanic Heritage Month. The month of September each                                                  
05 year is established as Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic Heritage Month may be                                          
06 observed by schools, community groups, and other public and private agencies and                                        
07 individuals with appropriate activities to honor and recognize the contributions that                                   
08       Hispanic Americans have made in the history of this state and the United States.
