00Enrolled SB 95 01 Directing the sale of certain land to the Tok Shooters Association, Inc.; approving the transfer 02 of certain Alaska Railroad Corporation land; and providing for an effective date. 03 _______________ 04 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 05 to read: 06 TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE TOK SHOOTERS ASSOCIATION, 07 INC. (a) The Department of Natural Resources shall convey to the Tok Shooters Association, 08 Inc., the surface estate of the real property used as a shooting range at Tok, Alaska, located at 09 Mile 1323.2 of the Alaska Highway, within the Copper River Meridian, Township 18 North, 10 Range 11 East, Section 10. 11 (b) In consideration for the conveyance under (a) of this section, the Department of 12 Natural Resources may accept cash equivalent to the fair market value of the land being 13 conveyed.
01 (c) The Department of Natural Resources is authorized to take actions necessary to 02 convey the real property described in this section to the Tok Shooters Association, Inc., 03 including platting, replatting, surveying, subdividing, and other actions. 04 * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 05 read: 06 APPROVAL OF THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO WHITTIER MANOR 07 CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, INC. (a) The Alaska Railroad Corporation is authorized 08 to convey the corporation's interest in the surface estate of approximately 58,730.5 square feet 09 of rail land described as follows: beginning at Corner G, City of Whittier Subdivision phase 10 one, part of USS 2559, thence N. 76 degrees 29 minutes E., 42.18 feet; thence N. 55 degrees 11 39 minutes E., 915.58 feet to true point of beginning; thence N. 34 degrees 21 minutes W., 12 115.0 feet; thence N. 55 degrees 39 minutes E., 510.7 feet; thence S. 34 degrees 21 minutes 13 E., 115.0 feet; thence S. 55 degrees 39 minutes W., 510.7 feet to true point of beginning. 14 (b) The legislature recognizes that surveying and platting actions necessary to convey 15 the real property described in (a) of this section may change the legal description of the real 16 property, and it is the legislature's intention that the land transfer approved by this Act include 17 any land described by such a modification to the legal description of the real property 18 described in (a) of this section. 19 (c) In consideration for the conveyance authorized in (a) of this section, the Alaska 20 Railroad Corporation may accept cash equivalent to the fair market value of the land being 21 conveyed. 22 (d) This section constitutes legislative approval under AS 42.40.285(1) for the Alaska 23 Railroad Corporation to convey its entire interest in the land described in (a) of this section. 24 * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
