00 SENATE BILL NO. 95 01 "An Act approving the transfer of certain Alaska Railroad Corporation land; and 02 providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 05 to read: 06 APPROVAL OF THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO WHITTIER MANOR 07 CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, INC. (a) The Alaska Railroad Corporation is authorized 08 to convey the corporation's interest in the surface estate of approximately 58,730.5 square feet 09 of rail land described as follows: beginning at Corner G, City of Whittier Subdivision phase 10 one, part of USS 2559, thence N. 76 degrees 29 minutes E., 42.18 feet; thence N. 55 degrees 11 39 minutes E., 915.58 feet to true point of beginning; thence N. 34 degrees 21 minutes W., 12 115.0 feet; thence N. 55 degrees 39 minutes E., 510.7 feet; thence S. 34 degrees 21 minutes 13 E., 115.0 feet; thence S. 55 degrees 39 minutes W., 510.7 feet to true point of beginning. 14 (b) The legislature recognizes that surveying and platting actions necessary to convey
01 the real property described in (a) of this section may change the legal description of the real 02 property, and it is the legislature's intention that the land transfer approved by this Act include 03 any land described by such a modification to the legal description of the real property 04 described in (a) of this section. 05 (c) In consideration for the conveyance authorized in (a) of this section, the Alaska 06 Railroad Corporation may accept cash equivalent to the fair market value of the land being 07 conveyed. 08 (d) This section constitutes legislative approval under AS 42.40.285(1) for the Alaska 09 Railroad Corporation to convey its entire interest in the land described in (a) of this section. 10 * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
