00 SENATE BILL NO. 13 01 "An Act directing the Department of Revenue to pay a supplemental dividend to certain 02 eligible individuals; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 05 to read: 06 SUPPLEMENTAL PERMANENT FUND DIVIDEND. (a) Notwithstanding 07 AS 43.23.005, the commissioner of revenue shall pay a supplemental permanent fund 08 dividend to each eligible individual as provided under this section. The commissioner shall 09 determine the total amount of the dividend by dividing the amount appropriated by the Thirty- 10 First Alaska State Legislature from the earnings reserve account (AS 37.13.145) to the 11 dividend fund (AS 43.23.045(a)) for payment of a supplemental permanent fund dividend by 12 the number of eligible individuals. 13 (b) In this section, "eligible individual" means an individual 14 (1) who received a 2016, 2017, or 2018 permanent fund dividend; and
01 (2) eligible for a 2019 permanent fund dividend. 02 * Sec. 2. CONTINGENCY. Section 1(a) of this Act is contingent on passage by the Thirty- 03 First Alaska State Legislature and enactment into law before June 30, 2019, of an 04 appropriation from the earnings reserve account (AS 37.13.145) to the dividend fund 05 (AS 43.23.045(a)) for the payment of a supplemental permanent fund dividend. 06 * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
