00                  SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 23                                                                   
01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State                                         
02 Legislature, concerning House Joint Resolution No. 21, urging the federal government to                                 
03 respect the authority of the state to regulate marijuana use, production, and distribution                              
04 and to honor previous federal guidance on marijuana policy; and urging the federal                                      
05 government to reconsider its listing of marijuana as a schedule I controlled substance.                                 
06 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
07 That under Rules 49(a) and 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the                                       
08 provisions of Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State                                      
09 Legislature, regarding changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House                          
10 Joint Resolution No. 21, urging the federal government to respect the authority of the state to                         
11 regulate marijuana use, production, and distribution and to honor previous federal guidance                             
12 on marijuana policy; and urging the federal government to reconsider its listing of marijuana                           
13 as a schedule I controlled substance.
