00 HOUSE BILL NO. 350 01 "An Act relating to certain fees for using an automated teller machine." 02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 03 * Section 1. AS 06 is amended by adding a new chapter to read: 04 Chapter 90. Miscellaneous Provisions. 05 Sec. 06.90.010. Automated teller machine fee. Unless a fee is otherwise 06 prohibited by or conflicts with federal law, a person who owns an automated teller 07 machine may charge a fee for the use of the automated teller machine to conduct a 08 transaction accessing an account from an international financial institution. In this 09 section, 10 (1) "automated teller machine" means an electronic device that 11 dispenses cash in connection with a credit, deposit, or checking account at an 12 international financial institution; 13 (2) "international financial institution" means a person that is 14 organized and licensed under the laws of a foreign country to engage in a banking 15 business; in this paragraph, "banking business" means a business that offers deposit
01 accounts, makes loans, and conducts other financial transactions.
