01 "An Act requiring an advisory vote on the enactment of an individual income tax."                                       
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section                          
04 to read:                                                                                                                
05 ADVISORY VOTE ON TAX. At the first statewide election following the effective                                         
06 date of this Act, the lieutenant governor shall place before the qualified voters of the state a                        
07 question advisory to the legislature and the governor. Notwithstanding AS 15.80.005 and                                 
08 other laws relating to the preparation of a ballot proposition, the question shall appear on the                        
09 ballot in the following form:

11            Do you approve of the passage by the Alaska State Legislature of a bill                                      
12       that imposes an individual income tax?
