01 "An Act naming a shooting range in the Knik River Public Use Area the Kenny and                                         
02 Patti Barber Shooting Range."                                                                                           
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 35.40 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                
05            Sec. 35.40.375. Kenny and Patti Barber Shooting Range. The shooting                                        
06       range located near Mud Lake on Maud Road between Palmer and Butte in the Knik                                     
07       River Public Use Area is named the Kenny and Patti Barber Shooting Range.                                         
08    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
09 read:                                                                                                                   
10       TRANSITION. The state may not replace a state-owned sign posted before the                                        
11 effective date of this Act identifying the shooting range renamed by this Act with a sign                               
12 identifying the shooting range as the Kenny and Patti Barber Shooting Range unless the state-                           
13 owned sign is damaged or due for replacement according to a schedule for regular                                        
14 maintenance.
