01 "An Act relating to the Violent Crimes Compensation Board."                                                             
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 18.67.020(a) is amended to read:                                                                   
04            (a)  The [THERE IS THE] Violent Crimes Compensation Board is [IN THE                                 
05       DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION] composed of three members to be                                                     
06       appointed by the governor. One of the members shall be designated as chair by the                                 
07       governor. At least one member must be a medical or osteopathic physician, a                                   
08       physician assistant, or an advanced nurse practitioner licensed to practice in this                           
09       state or [HOLDING A] retired from practice [STATUS LICENSE] in this state, and                            
10       one member must be an attorney licensed to practice in this state or retired from                                 
11       practice in this state.
