01 "An Act relating to registration fees for snowmobiles and off-highway vehicles; and                                     
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 28.10.421(d)(7) is amended to read:                                                                
05                 (7)  an [A SNOWMOBILE OR] off-highway vehicle .................. $10;                               
06    * Sec. 2.  AS 28.10.421(d)(7), as amended by sec. 1 of this Act, is amended to read:                               
07                 (7)  a snowmobile or [AN] off-highway vehicle .......................... $10;                       
08    * Sec. 3. AS 28.10.421(d) is amended by adding a new paragraph to read:                                            
09                 (25)  a snowmobile .........................................................................$20.        
10    * Sec. 4. AS 28.39.020(e) is amended to read:                                                                      
11            (e)  The original and each renewal registration fee for a snowmobile is as                                   
12       provided under AS 28.10.421, except that the fee for a six-year registration is $50                           
13       [SHALL BE MULTIPLIED BY TWO FOR A FOUR-YEAR REGISTRATION AND                                                      
14       MULTIPLIED BY THREE FOR A SIX-YEAR REGISTRATION].                                                                 

01    * Sec. 5. AS 28.39.020(e), as amended by sec. 4 of this Act, is amended to read:                                   
02            (e)  The original and each renewal registration fee for a snowmobile is as                                   
03       provided under AS 28.10.421, except that the fee shall be multiplied by two for a                             
04       four-year registration and multiplied by three for a six-year registration [FOR A                             
05       SIX-YEAR REGISTRATION IS $50].                                                                                  
06    * Sec. 6. AS 28.10.421(d)(25) is repealed July 1, 2019.                                                            
07    * Sec. 7. Sections 2 and 5 of this Act take effect July 1, 2019.
