01 "An Act relating to the policy of the Alaska Legislative Council regarding payment of                                   
02 per diem to legislators."                                                                                               
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 24.10.130 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
05            (d)  A policy adopted under (c) of this section may not allow payment of per                                 
06       diem to a member of the legislature for a day or portion of a day during a legislative                            
07       session on which the member is absent from                                                                        
08                 (1)  the capital city during a regular or special legislative session;                                  
09                 (2)  a municipality in which the legislature is convened in special                                     
10       session if the legislature is convened in a municipality other than the capital city.
