00                            SENATE BILL NO. 40                                                                          
01 "An Act making special appropriations for new engineering buildings for the University                                  
02 of Alaska in Anchorage and Fairbanks; and providing for an effective date."                                             
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. The sum of $59,600,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the University                        
05 of Alaska for the design and construction of a new engineering building at the University of                            
06 Alaska Anchorage.                                                                                                       
07    * Sec. 2. The sum of $47,300,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the University of                        
08 Alaska for the design and construction of a new engineering building at the University of                               
09 Alaska Fairbanks.                                                                                                       
10    * Sec. 3. LAPSE. The appropriations made by this Act are for capital projects and lapse                            
11 under AS 37.25.020.                                                                                                     
12    * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect July 1, 2013.
