00 HOUSE BILL NO. 191 01 "An Act prohibiting compensation based on the number of policies issued for a long- 02 term care insurance producer or third-party administrator who issues a long-term care 03 policy under the underwriting authority of an insurer." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. AS 21.53.068 is amended to read: 06 Sec. 21.53.068. Limitations related to producers and third-party 07 administrators. An insurer that authorizes issuance of a long-term care insurance 08 policy by a producer or a third-party administrator under the underwriting authority of 09 the insurer granted to the producer or a third-party administrator using the insurer's 10 underwriting guidelines may issue a long-term care insurance policy through the 11 producer or a third-party administrator only if the insurer does not compensate 12 [COMPENSATES] the issuer based on the number of policies issued.
