00 SENATE BILL NO. 182 01 "An Act amending the amount of state funding provided to school districts for pupil 02 transportation." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 14.09.010(a) is repealed and reenacted to read: 05 (a) A school district that provides student transportation services is eligible to 06 receive funding for operating the student transportation system. Beginning July 1, 07 2012, and subject to appropriation, the amount of funding provided by the state under 08 this section is the amount reported to the department in the audited financial statement 09 of the school district as actual pupil transportation expenditures for the school year 10 ending June 30, 2012, as adjusted for inflation under (d) of this section. 11 * Sec. 2. AS 14.09.010 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 12 (d) Funding provided to a school district under (a) of this section shall be 13 adjusted annually on October 1 according to changes in the Consumer Price Index for 14 all urban consumers for the Anchorage metropolitan area compiled by the United

AS 14.09.010(b) is repealed. 04 * Sec. 4. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 05 read: 06 PUPIL TRANSPORTATION. 01 (2) "district's ADM" means the sum of the ADMs in the district.
